Documenting Memory, History, and Place
Documentary photography is about preserving stories as they exist—honestly, thoughtfully, and without unnecessary intervention. My work focuses on the relationship between people, places, memory, and the passage of time.
From historic cemeteries and monuments to community events, architecture, and local history, I seek to create photographs that serve as both records and reflections, capturing not only what is seen, but what is felt.

## About

Photography began as a way of looking closer.
Based in Michigan, I create images that explore memory, place, and the quiet traces people leave behind. My work often focuses on cemeteries, monuments, architecture, landscapes, and wildlife—subjects connected by a shared sense of presence, endurance, and time.
I am particularly drawn to historic cemeteries, not as places of sorrow, but as places of reflection. Their monuments, sculptures, and landscapes tell stories that continue long after they were first written. Through photography, I seek to document those stories and preserve moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
At its core, my work is about witnessing: finding beauty in overlooked places, recognizing the weight of history, and discovering life in the silence.
